We are in the middle of a fast moving 2019 Legislative Session and I commend our Legislative Committee for their continued hard work to protect and save our industry as we know it. Committee members have spent countless number of days away from home at their own expense to come to Austin and walk the halls of the Capitol as well as a tremendous amount of time making phone calls to speak with Senators and House members to protect our bail industry. I also want to thank the individual bondsmen and women who have travelled to Austin to be a part of our Days at the Capitol.
As we have said multiple times, our strength is in our numbers, and I encourage you to show your support by attending our Days at the Capitol.
I also urge you to attend the Quarterly Membership and Board Meeting in Austin on Thursday, April 11 for a comprehensive report on our legislative activities as well as what PBT is planning for the rest of the year – we are always busy and on the move! Cost is $75 for members, $100 for non-members and you may register online.
Come in a day earlier and play in our annual golf tournament at the fabulous Avery Golf Club in with tee off at 12pm noon on Wednesday, April 10 followed by our 3rd Annual BBQ at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Relax and enjoy mouth-watering BBQ with all the trimmings and a complimentary bar at no charge.
