My Fellow Bondsmen:
As we approach the end of the 2019 legislative session, I want to thank our association legislative leaders and the many members who wrote letters, made calls and personally traveled to the Capitol to speak with their legislators to help save the bail industry.
We have jumped many hurdles and still have a few to go before the session ends, but our legislative team is ready to deal with whatever comes our way. These bondsmen and lobbyists have worked many, many days and nights to help preserve the bail industry
I have no doubt many of our legislative team will be taking a well deserved rest when the session ends. Once everyone has had a chance to relax, we will start working on the 2021 legislative session.
There will be an in depth presentation from the Legislative Committee on what transpired at this year's session and special recognition will be given to the many volunteers who helped at the PBT Annual Convention, October 9-11, 2019 in San Antonio. More information on the convention will be published soon.
Again, THANK YOU to everyone who worked this year's Legislative Session – we could not have done it without YOU!
